  I give thanks to God, our Father! So many reasons in general to be praising God. I certainly do not take any of those blessings for granted and am very thankful for all God does for me. However, when something happens during normal activities of the day where it gives me pause to stop what I was doing and be in the moment, I thank God for them. I feel like it is an extra special visit from Jesus.   As I read Philippians 1:12-26, I think about Saint Paul sitting in a dark, damp, and cold prison cell writing a letter to the Philippian believers. There, in his dark prison, Paul writes and says that every bad thing that has happened to him has only helped to spread the Gospel. And for that he rejoices! His love for God and his great desire to share the Gospel was the only things that mattered to him. It’s  What I Choose! Two and a half years have slipped by. My heart and mind can’t comprehend the thought that I haven’t seen Russell, Shawna, Tylee and Blake for two and a half years! It makes me feel very lonesome. It just doesn’t seem real! When I think of how many years ahead that will come and go without seeing them it makes me feel sad. It is hard work to keep that smile on my face when I don’t feel like smiling. This past Christmas was extremely hard. However, I did find myself enjoying the day.
